The department “Engineering of technological machines” was founded in 1972 under the name “Road-building machines”. The first head of the department was its founder, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor O.A. Ikramov, Honored Worker of Higher Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In 1975, the head of the department “Road-building machines” was appointed associate professor T.I. Askarkhodzhaev and from that time on the department began to be staffed with highly qualified personnel. The department carries out external relations of the department for educational and methodological work of MADI (Moscow), SibADI (Omsk), HADI (Kharkov), KADI (Kiev) and research work (VNIIStroydor-mash, VNIISP, Soyuz-DorNII, VNIIZemmash, etc.) … At the department there are 2 laboratories “Comprehensive mechanization of construction” (supervisor, Ph.D., associate professor Askarkhodzhaev T.I.) and “Operation and repair of machines” (supervisor, Ph.D., associate professor Dimetov Kh. N.). They carried out research to improve the design of road construction equipment and optimize its operation and maintenance.

In 1980 the department “Operation and repair of road-building machines” was separated from the department “Road-building machines” and was headed by associate professor Kh.N. Dimetov, candidate of technical sciences. By orders of the ministries of highways of the RSFSR and Uzbekistan and other ministries of the former USSR, research work was carried out on the state budget and economic contracts.

In 1986-1991 the Department of Road-Building Machines was headed by Associate Professor A.A. Abdurazakov. During this period, the department’s ties with industry were strengthened, and during the practice, students studied the issues of “Management of road vehicles and their use in Central Asia.” Research work was carried out under economic contracts with Uzbekkomir JSC, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (NMMC), Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AGMK), Uzdormashservice JSC.

In 1988-1992 the Department of Operation and Repair of Road-Building Machines was headed by Associate Professor Z.T. Maksudov. The department has conducted and is conducting research work with leading foreign companies Caterpillar, Clark (USA), Virtgen (Germany), Kamatsu Toyota (Japan), Volvo, DYNAPAC (Sweden), Balkancar (Bulgaria), Brose Broom (USA).

Research work was carried out on business contracts with enterprises and organizations: JSC “Uzbekkomir”, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (NMMC), Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AGMK), JSC “Uzdormashservice”, JSC “Toshshakharyulkurilish ta’mirlash”, Tashkent Tractor Plant (TTZ) and others.

In 1992-2000, the department “Road-building machines” was headed by Professor T.I. Askarhodzhaev. In 1995 the department “Road-building machines” was reorganized the department “Operation and repair of road-building machines” and renamed into the department “Road-building machines”.

In 2001-2010, the department was headed by the candidate of technical sciences, associate professor R.U. Shukurov. Research work was carried out on business contracts with enterprises and organizations: JSC “Uzbekkomir”, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (NMMC), Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (AGMK), JSC “Uzdormashservice”, JSC “Toshshakharyulkurilish ta’mirlash”, Tashkent Tractor Plant (TTZ) and others.

In the 2001-2018 academic year, according to the agreement between the department “DSM” and “Yashnabad PC”, “Sergeli Polytechnic PC”, professors and teachers of the department prof. Shukurov R.U., ass. Mukhamedova N.B., ass. Tadzhikhojaeva M.R. were involved in the educational and methodological work of the college. Prof. Shukurov R.U. In 2010-2015, the department “Road-building machines” was headed by associate professor Alimov B.Zh. During this period, one of the employees of the department was Associate Professor S. Eshkobilov, who won the international grant 530244-TEMPUS-2012-1-SF-TEMRUS-JPCR “Improving engineering education in solving technical problems in Georgia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan” for 2012-2015 …

The aim of the TEMPUS project is the development of modern education in Uzbekistan, 3 subjects for the masters of the TEMPUS project were introduced at the Department of Road Construction Machines. Laboratory work is carried out on modern equipment imported from Europe.

Tashkent Automobile and Highway Institute, Department of Road Construction Machines and Broce Manufacturing Company Inc., on September 30, 2013 signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of education, as well as a plan to establish cooperation with the University of Oklahoma

On April 26-04, 2015, an agreement was signed and the establishment of cooperation with the University of Oklahoma, USA, the rector of TAYI prof. M. Aripdzhanov and prof. RU. Shukurov visited the United States. Jim Sluss, professor at the University of Oklahoma and the College of Engineering, and the senior associate dean discussed plans for collaboration with the University of Oklahoma and plans for future collaboration programs with the university. “Southern Plains Plains TRANSPORTATION CENTER Professor Domminiko Pittenger got acquainted with the scientific and educational laboratories.

On the basis of the economic agreement of the department, together with the Scientific Research Institute of Highways of the State Joint-Stock Company “Uzavtoyol”, it is planned for 2014 “Development of a system of machines for repair and maintenance of roads on the basis of domestic and foreign technology and regulatory documents for their effectiveness” mln. At present, under this economic agreement, professors and teachers of the department are working on the ITI (the scientific supervisor of this topic is prof. Askarkhodzhaev TI and the responsible executor is associate professor Maksudov ZT). Together with the State Joint Stock Company “Uzavtoyol” Research Institute of Highways approved the Economic Contract “Creation and development of standards for energy consumption in the preparation of asphalt concrete mixtures in the factory” scientific supervisor prof. Shukurov R.U. worth $ 80 million. UZS worked by mutual agreement on the ITI case.

In 2015-2016, “Road construction equipment” was headed by Associate Professor A.A. Abdullaev. Member of the department, associate professor Eshkabilov S. On the basis of the state grant for 2015-2017 A-3-54 carries out a research project on the topic “The choice of parameters and characteristics of the suspension for smooth movement on the roads of Uzbekistan.” In 2015, the work was performed in the amount of 46835 thousand UZS.

On May 15, 2015, at the initiative of the Department of Road Construction Technology of the Tashkent Automobile Institute, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Tashkent branch of the Belarusian Machine-Building Holding “Amkodor-Amkodor-Tashkent”.

A branch of the “Road-building equipment” branch “Amkodor-Tashkent” was created. The classroom is equipped with equipment and tools for practical and laboratory work in the branch

In 2015, at the department “SKM” prof. RU. Shukurov became the winner of the “Best Teacher” competition in the TAYI specialty, took 1st place and received a ticket to the competition of the Ministry of Higher Education.

In the competition in the nomination “The best scientific and pedagogical personnel” held by the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Associate Professor of the Department “YQM” Z.T. Maksudov took 2nd place in the specialties of the institute.

According to the order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2015 in the field of engineering works of the competition for the best pedagogical work of higher educational institutions in the field of education prof. Shukurov participated in his specialty and became the winner in the “Best Teacher” nomination. He was awarded an honorary diploma, a memento and a cash prize.

In the 2014-2015 academic year, according to the agreements between the departments “RCM” and “Yashnabad HC”, “Sergeli Polytechnic HC” professors and teachers of the department prof. In 2016-2017, there was a merger of the departments “Road construction equipment” and “Reliability of land transport systems”. By the decision of the Academic Council of the Institute, the name “Repair and operation of road-building machinery and equipment” was assigned and the head of the department, Professor A.A. Shermukhamedov was in charge. During this period, research work at the department was carried out by Samavto LLC, MAN AUTO-UZBEKISTAN JV, Uzstandart Agency, Uzavtotrans JV, GM Powertrain-Uzbekistan JSC, State Committee for Highways of the Republic of Uzbekistan, LLC KTB Avtosozlash, Toshavtotamirh Work was carried out with OJSC UK-10 Avtosozlash Zavodi, OJSC Toshshahartranshizmat, OJSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant, OJSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine and other leading enterprises.

From 2017 to the present, the department “Repair and operation of road-building machinery and equipment” is headed by Associate Professor T.K. Khankelov. By orders of the State Committee for Highways of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other ministries, research work was carried out on the state budget and economic contracts. Uzbekugol JSC, Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Combine (NMMC), Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Combine (OMK), Uzyulmashservice JSC, Toshsharyulqurilish Tamir JSC, Makhsustrans JSC and other enterprises and organizations, contracts were fulfilled. In the same year, they won a competition to develop a prototype of a new machine designed for emergency response. By orders of the State Committee for Highways of the Republic of Uzbekistan and other ministries, research work was carried out on the state budget and economic contracts.

The department has established extensive cooperation with higher educational institutions of the Commonwealth and foreign countries.
