Delegation of TSTU continues its work in Turkey

As previously reported, the rector of the Tashkent State Transport University, Doctor of Economics Odil Kalandarovich Abdurakhmanov and the Vice-Rector for International Cooperation, Doctor of Economics Bakhodir Khatamovich Turaev are currently on a working visit to the Republic of Turkey.

On July 28-31, the delegation met with the leadership of the best universities in Turkey – Istanbul University, Istanbul Technical University and the Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts.

During friendly meetings, the rector of TSTU, Odil Kalandarovich, told his Turkish colleagues about the multifaceted activities of our university, in particular, about its structure, international relations, research projects and scientific works. In addition, the delegation of TSTU had the opportunity to get acquainted with the rich history, scientific, educational and cultural life of the above universities.

During the negotiations, the host universities expressed great interest in the implementation of joint research projects with TSTU. Rector of TSTU, Doctor of Economics Odil Abdurakhmanov also noted the readiness to implement joint educational, exchange and scientific-research projects with universities in the near future. In particular, the issues of sending professors-teachers for long-term internships, organizing exchanges under the Erasmus programme were considered.

As a result of the high-level meetings, agreements were reached on cooperation between universities in the field of engineering, construction of roads, bridges and tunnels, mechatronics, robotics, as well as the establishment of exchanges in various fields, in particular, scientific, educational, methodological support and academic orientation.

The Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts was founded as a school in 1928, and in 1982 it received the status of university. It is considered the leading university for the training of professionals in the architecture, arts and culture.
