Results of scientific internship of Jumaev Sherzod Bakhrom ugli

In the world, one of the leading places is taken by the use of information technologies and tools for finding the best scheme of routes for the transportation of goods and a technical and economic assessment of possible options for the delivery of goods. Globally, in rail transport, the speed of delivery of goods is 230-250 km/day and the value of this indicator is 1.5 times less than that of other modes of transport, and given that the main reasons are associated with idle time of wagons at loading and unloading, intermediate and technical stations, then it becomes necessary to introduce information technologies into the transport processes of organizing wagon flows with the timely delivery of loaded wagons. In this regard, the use of information and energy-resource-saving technologies that allow making operational decisions to reduce the downtime of wagons is of no small importance.

From September 21 to October 19, 2021, a scientific internship was organized at the Scientific and Technical Center for Industrial Safety (Republic of Kazakhstan, Karaganda).

A 144-hour scientific internship course was conducted by Acting professor, PhD.  O.T. Balabaev. The topic of the internship is “Methodology for optimizing the technological process of the station during the processing of multi-group trains and the development of their software”.

During the internship, according to the program, a course was held on the following topics:

  • development of technological parameters of a mathematical model for optimizing wagon traffic when processing multi-group trains;
  • description of the structure of the mathematical model for optimizing wagon traffic when processing multi-group trains;
  • development of technology for forming groups of wagons and the number of wagons in groups by destination stations;
  • development of an algorithm for a mathematical model for optimizing wagon traffic when processing multi-group trains;
  • development of a program for determining the random order of the arrangement of groups of carriages on a train;
  • development of a module for calculating the probabilistic characteristics of a mathematical model for optimizing wagon traffic when processing multi-group trains;
  • development of a program to select the optimal number of shunting trips when forming a group of wagons in the prescribed manner;
  • development of a program to determine the procedure for performing shunting flights when processing multi-group trains;
  • development of a program to optimize the technological process of the station when processing multi-group trains.

All classes under the training program “Methodology for optimizing the technological process of the station during the processing of multi-group trains and the development of their software” were held in specially equipped rooms using modern automation, telemechanics and communication technology. During the internship, several field sessions were organized to the stations “Karaganda Sortirovochnaya” NK KTZ, and The Coal Department of the Karaganda Loading and Transport Department (KPTU) of JSC “ArcelorMittal Temirtau”. Offsite classes were also held in the laboratories of the Karaganda Technical University and the Karaganda University named after academician E.A. Buketov, which are included in the TOP-1000 of the QS Global EMBA Rankings.

During the internship, he got acquainted with modern models, simulators and high-tech equipment of existing railways. And also more familiar with the work of the automatic workstation of the fuel rate regulator, where the operator monitors the movement of locomotives in real time. Familiarized with the activities of the locomotive depot KPTU. In the course of acquaintance, we concluded that there really is a good base and unique technologies. One of these was the groove of wheelsets of diesel locomotives without removing it.

In the period from 7 to 14 October 2021, master classes were held at the Karaganda Technical University and the Karaganda University named after academician E.A. Buketov. During his stay, he was familiarized with the work of laboratory educational equipment of the relevant departments, electronic and catalog fund, bibliographic databases of an extensive library, modern models, simulators and high-tech equipment of existing railways of the above universities.

During the internship, together with foreign scientists, the following scientific achievements were made:

  1. An application was filed for a patent of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the invention “Sposob razgruzki jeleznodorojnыx poluvagonov cherez nijnie lyuki” (appeal No. 2537 of 11.10.2021).
  2. An application was filed for a patent of the Republic of Kazakhstan for a useful model “Zapornoe ustroystvo sistemы vodosnabjeniya passajirskogo vagona” (electronic application dated 13.10.2021).
  3. Submitted two scientific articles to the Journal of Hunan University Natural Sciences, indexed in Scopus on the following topics:

– The algorithm of an intelligent transport system with the formation of information technology capabilities;

– Rapid planning of mixed-structure train organization in the context of non-proportional wagon-flows.

  1. Submitted 2 articles in scientific journals recommended for publication of the main scientific results of doctoral dissertations in the Higher Attestation Commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan:

– To the journal “Academic Research in Educational Sciences” on the topic “Kam xarajatli tortuv harakat tarkibini temir yoʼl stantsiyasidagi manyovr ishlarida qoʼllashning samaradorligi”;

– To the journal “Electronic journal of Actual problems of modern science, Education and Training” on the topic “Method of operational regulation by shunting locomotives at railway stations”.

  1. An application has been submitted for the official registration of the computer program in the Republic of Kazakhstan “Determination of the design parameters of wagons on the basis of a full-scale train sheet for performing shunting half-flights” (electronic application of 18.10.2021).
  2. A scientific article on the topic “Manyovr yarim reyslarini bajarishda vagonlarning harakatiga o‘rtacha og‘irlikdagi solishtirma qarshilikni hisoblash” was submitted to the republican scientific and practical conference “Texnologik jarayonlarni avtomatlashtirish tizimlarini ishlab chiqarishning rivojlanishdagi o‘rni va vazifalari” at the Fergana Polytechnic Institute.

During the internship, new professional competencies were obtained, taking into account the priorities of modernization and technological development. Also, this internship made it possible to gain additional experience and establish contacts with leading foreign scientists in the field of engineering, technology and transport.

Upon completion of the internship, a certificate of internship was presented.
