The basis for the functioning of any system, including railway transport, is timely and reliable information about a moving object, transported raw materials, etc. The appearance of inaccuracies, errors in the transmission, reception and processing of information in some cases can lead to significant, economically unjustified losses. To reduce their number, it is necessary to increase the level of automation of receiving and transmitting primary information.
The introduction of information about traction rolling stock, moving wagons and cargoes into the computer systems of roads without human intervention allows you to automate all processes of accounting, reporting, operational planning and management of railway transportation in the best possible ways.
The main “bottleneck” in the implementation of the tasks of the automated control system for railway transport (ACSRT) on the roads is obtaining reliable information about operational events occurring in transport.
From September 21 to October 19, 2021, a scientific internship was organized at the Scientific and Technical Center for Industrial Safety (Republic of Kazakhstan, Karaganda).
A 144-hour scientific internship course was conducted by acting professor, PhD, D.K. Sarjanov. The topic of the internship is “Intelligent system for dislocation of wagons”.
During the internship, according to the program, a course was held on the following topics:
All classes under the training program “Intelligent system for dislocation of wagons” were held in specially equipped rooms using modern automation, telemechanics and communication technology. During the internship, several field sessions were organized to the stations “Karaganda Sortirovochnaya” NK KTZ, and The Coal Department of the Karaganda Loading and Transport Department (KPTU) of JSC “ArcelorMittal Temirtau”. Offsite classes were also held in the laboratories of the Karaganda Technical University and the Karaganda University named after academician E.A. Buketov, which are included in the TOP-1000 of the QS Global EMBA Rankings.
During the internship, he got acquainted with modern models, simulators and high-tech equipment of existing railways. And also more familiar with the work of the automatic workstation of the fuel rate regulator, where the operator monitors the movement of locomotives in real time. Familiarized with the activities of the locomotive depot KPTU. In the course of acquaintance, we concluded that there really is a good base and unique technologies. One of these was the groove of wheelsets of diesel locomotives without removing it.
In the period from 7 to 14 October 2021, master classes were held at the Karaganda Technical University and the Karaganda University named after academician E.A. Buketov. During his stay, he was familiarized with the work of laboratory educational equipment of the relevant departments, electronic and catalog fund, bibliographic databases of an extensive library, modern models, simulators and high-tech equipment of existing railways of the above universities.
During the internship, together with foreign scientists, the following scientific achievements were made:
– To the journal “Electronic journal of Actual problems of modern science, Education and Training” on the topic “Method of operational regulation by shunting locomotives at railway stations”.
During the internship, new professional competencies were obtained, taking into account the priorities of modernization and technological development. Also, this internship made it possible to gain additional experience and establish contacts with leading foreign scientists in the field of engineering, technology and transport.
Upon completion of the internship, a certificate of internship was presented.
